[ Today had been a long and hard day--maybe any other time he'd have left it alone. But her words, though he was sure she was indeed managing as best as she could be, reminded him of the ones spoken by people when they were suffering--and some of those this week.
So he had a reason for wanting to do what he did, if she should decide to follow, hoping she would come and decide to accompany him to the computer room. He wanted to help out everyone best he could and this was something he'd thought might work. ]
I think there's something you should see -- or maybe hear. I discovered it when I went into the room earlier today.
But seriously speaking, who knows? Terra kind of wanted to surprise her a little, and he turns towards her to offer a slight smile. ]
Yeah, we do. We can listen to things while we're in there--they don't really have these sort of things back at home, but Yoosung showed me how "video games" worked and Nine taught me how some of this technology worked too.
[ He doesn't say just yet because what are headphones in LoD, until they're standing at the entrance of the room, and once the door's open, he's going over to one computer. He'll pick up what appears to be headphones and kind of dangle them in his hand to show her. Even if that wasn't all. ]
[ She can't quite return the smile fully, because that woman's probably lurking around every corner. That horrible laugh and croaking, it's not here right now, but that doesn't mean it won't show up again.
Still, she turns her head a little. ]
Nine? Was that...another of the people with all of you? We've got stuff like this, where I'm from, at least. Video games, and- these are headphones.
Yeah, he looked like Akira, but he was much more serious, and he had another friend with him named Twelve. Technically we were all roommates.
[ He says that fondly as he clicks around on the computer furiously. There, a music app is up. ]
Thanks for telling me what these are. I never really thought to ask. But, well, it looks like there's a few basic games on the computers--more importantly there's also music so if you want to drown out the hallucinations, it could help.
[ She clearly hasn't really looked, but she takes a pair of headphones. ]
I hadn't realized... I'd listen to really anything, at this point. [ ...like say that AFTER you see the track listings but ] Have you tried it? I mean...do yours...talk to you, too?
[ The music's the best what are you talking about. ]
I've tried it. Not for too long, because I can't just sit in here for too many hours while everyone else is suffering. [ ... ] Mine talk too, but I'm pretty good at ignoring them for the most part, especially since they sometimes say things that aren't true or don't make sense.
[ What appears to be another hallucination manifests itself, though Terra focuses on Rebecca's appearance and going to the track listing in the music app. The words uttered are simple and to the point:
"This heart belongs again to darkness."
Terra blinks to clear the brief haze in his mind and does his best to block out the next words. ]
